Sculpture Page 1
Tree of Knowledge
ãThis is the first sculpture scene created by D. F. Dixon on the Pathway. The reason Dixon created this work of art is because, after his home was struck by lightning, a massive amount of damage did occur to some equipment inside the home without injury to anybody. Rather than throwing the items away that was destroyed, Dixon came up with the plan of creating a sculpture scene upon the Pathway. The message is, "God don't make no junk" and from that, came, "The Tree Of Knowledge!" The interpretation also for the scene is,
There are two types of knowledge, the knowledge of good and evil. The gift of technology was given to us by God to use for good, and to help, rather than to destroy. Technology in the wrong hands has the power to destroy those who use it for the wrong purpose. We all will one day stand before God and give account as to how we use such a tool. Use it well, and you will be blessed. Use it the wrong way, the lightning shall return! Everything surely has had its beginning since this work started and the scenes around the Pathway continue to expand. Dixon does all his educational training at the art center and step by step he gathers bits and pieces of knowledge from friends that provide him advice as to how to carry out his work on computers. Not only is the Pathway an art, and book publication center for Dixon's works to be produced. But also included is an inspirational theme park, an approved state tourism site, camp ground with overnight cottage for travelers, a radio recording studio for Dixon's preaching and teaching tapes to be recorded and sent out for radio programs, and so much more. Isn't it amazing what you can accomplish in your own front yard? Prayer is the key!!!"Light House"
